I am so happy that today is New Year’s Eve because I get to stay up late. I get to stay up until 12:10 am. The latest that I have stayed up before is 12:01 where I went to bed and I instantly fell asleep. To keep myself awake, we played video games. Today, for 2014 New Year’s Eve celebrations, we are going to have friends over: Lee&Daryl, Jacob and Victoria. We are going to play Just Dance and lots of other games including Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D World, and NHL 15.
Some of my most memorable moments from this past year are Christmas and my birthday. Also i moved schools from Beverly central to Hillfield Strathallan college which I already blogged about. I enjoyed playing football. I especially liked coach Cartier Shields because he was nice and knowledgeable about the game. In football this year, I received the Hamilton Junior ti-cats coaches award, which was pretty cool. I played on my first basketball team this year. I play great defense, but need to work on my shooting. This year I also played hockey. Including a spring rep team that got to play in Maple Leaf Gardens. I really liked going to Buffalo for our hockey tournament. We did horribly bad but I had a good time with my family. The last sport that I participated in was Track & Field where I came second in the 300 m and did well in the 700 m. I don’t remember how well though. I think I ran 52 seconds.
This year I started practicing my pbone. A pbone is a plastic trombone. Mine is blue. you can get a pink one, but I did not want that colour. It’s fun to play. When i first started playing, Ode to Joy was one of my first songs and it sounded terribly. It did not really sound like anything. A week later, my dad videotaped me again and it still was not very good, but it was better. Yesterday it sounded way better. I joined a band at school, but I have not been to any practices yet. For Christmas, I got a harmonica. so now I have another instrument that is really fun to play.
As you know, I like pets. This year my brother got hermit crabs for his birthday. And my brother and I got a Ball Python for Christmas. It is one of the top 5 starter pets because they do not bite, are very docile, active and interesting. Most snakes just curl up in a ball and do nothing.
My favourite movie this year was The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies. It was one big giant continuous war for the entire movie. There was Oakenshield, Ironfoot, Elves, Humans, and several armies of ORCs.
I really like reading and probably read about 20 books this past year. My favourite series was Ranger’s Apprentice which has 12 books in the main series and 5 more written in a secondary spinoff series. I got the fifth book for Christmas and I am really looking forward to reading it. but firs tI have to finish the FarSeer Series about a boy named Fitz who becomes an assassin. I like that series as well. The other books that I read includes some Percy Jackson.
My favourite restaurant which we discovered this year was Buffalo Wild Wings. I eat a plain burger with ketchup and potato wedges and pop. I also have terayaki wings.
I went on several trips this year including hockey tournaments, basketball tournaments, Darian Lake, Cottage somewhere north, and Florida to visit my grandparents. I enjoyed the cottage trip the most because we got to hang out with the whole family on my mom’s side.
I am 4’10 1/4″ tall and weigh 76 pounds (with clothes on).
I want to grow a little bit more in 2015. I am looking forward to summer break . . .
