Leader

There’s a way to lead by example which means you show other people what to do.  There is also a way to lead by telling people what to do.  To shorten that all up, leader means you help other people.

Hockey

This weekend I have a hockey tournament, and I get to miss school.  For this hockey tournament we’re going to Toronto and we’re playing at Maple Leaf Gardens which is really cool.  I think its super cool to play were the Maple Leafs sometimes play.  We had another tournament before this and we were terrible compared to the other teams.  We only have a couple of good players.  We lost all of our games by about five points.  I’m hoping that are team does better in this tournament.

Football

On the weekend I had my first football game.  We were facing Hamilton east and were Hamilton west.  I’m one of the captains on my team.  We started the first half kicking.  The ball went through all their players until one caught it. Then we tackled him.  We started on defense.  We stopped them for four downs so we got the ball.  We moved the ball down the field.  After a while we did the twenty seven toss, so i got the ball.  I ran with the ball and got a touch down.  That made the score six nothing for us then we failed to get the extra point.  Then we kicked the ball off again.  So we were on defense, again we stopped them after four downs so we were on offense.  We moved the ball down the field slowly.  Then we did the twenty seven toss again and I ran with the ball.  I ran past all of the kids on their team and scored another touch down, so the score was twelve nothing, and we got the extra point.  Now the score was thirteen nothing.  After that they got the ball for the rest of the half.  Now its the second half and Hamilton east kicks the ball off to us.  One of are players caught the ball and ran about thirty yards.  We ran the ball and we lost it after a little while.  Then they got the ball.  They moved the ball up the field then we stopped them.  We got the ball went up the feild.  When we were about twenty yards away from the end-zone I got the ball and ran past the kids on the other team.  One kid on the other team was about to tackle me so I lowered my shoulder and hit him and knocked him over then ran and got another touchdown and the extra point, so we were winning twenty nothing.  Then the coach took me off the field.  There was about three minutes left and the other team had the ball.  Onc e there was about thirty seconds left the other team scored.  So the game ended of twenty to six for us.

Easter

On the weekend I woke up, excited to look for Easter eggs.  The first thing i found was a stuffed bunny.  I was so happy that i got a new stuffed animal.  When my parents got up I started to look for eggs.  I found a whole bunch of big eggs in my room, there weren’t that many small ones.  When I got out of my room I looked in lots of places.  I looked in the library and found a lot of Easter eggs.  Then I looked in the living room and found about twelve big Easter eggs.  It was awesome.  I looked all around the house.  I found tons of Easter eggs.  My parents could see lots of Easter eggs that my brother and I could not find.  Over the few days I kept finding Easter eggs.  My favorite Easter eggs were the Hersheys.

On The Weekend

On the weekend one of my friends and three o9f my brother'[]s friends came over .

School

In school I’m doing some really cool projects. One project that I’m doing is designing a video game to do with medieval times which I’m doing in social studies.  I am also doing a science project on gears and pulleys.  It is really fun doing these projects.  I just started both my game and science project about a week and a half ago.  I needed to download the program that you can use to design games. At first my teacher downloaded Gamemaker Studios and it was not working.  Then after a while we figured out we had the wrong program and we downloaded the correct Gamemaker, called Gamemaker 8.1.

I already use Gamemaker at home and I really like making games.  I’ve had the Gamemaker program for about a year.  So that means I’ve been making games for a year.  I’ve been making a Mario type game for a little while.  I think it’s the best game I’ve made so far. There are monsters and a hero in this picture.

Hockey

On  Sunday I had a hockey game against New Hamburg.  Our team beat them three one at the beginning of the season. This game our team was really lazy they didn’t skate that hard and they didn’t pass the puck.  At the start of the game the other team scored.  After that they switched the lines so I wasn’t with Owen anymore.  I work really well with him.  I passed the puck to one of my teammates and they got a break-a-way, but he missed the net.  After that the other team  scored another goal to make the game two nothing.  Once the game was almost over the team scored again.  The final score was three nothing for the other team.  Then I left to watch the super bowl.  Which was a blowout.  My team lost.

My eye

Last week, I went downstairs to play hockey with my brother.  I play hockey a lot with my brother.  We always do the Hornets vs. another team.  It’s always a lot of fun.  But most of the time somebody gets hurt.  This time I hurt my eye.  My brother and I were having a lot of fun.  It was a tie game.  The Hornets were facing the Bears, which are a really good team.  After a while Jace accidentally hit me right beside the eye with a hockey stick.  So then we were done.

Hockey Tournement

Last weekend I had a hockey tournament of three games.  In the first game I faced Caledonia, they were a weak team.  I played with Owen and I think we played pretty well together.  We passed the puck to each other really well.  We knew were each other were.  I didn’t score any goals, but I stopped some.  The game ended up to be about 😯 for my team.  After the game was over we had a shootout.  My team won the shootout.  I hurt the other teams goalie, by shooting the puck and hitting the goalie in a clear spot that had no pads.

The next game was against Richmond Hill Oak Ridges which was a really good team.  In the fourth, with two minutes left, the score was four to two.  My coaches put on the power line which was Ben at center, Owen at left-wing, me at right-wing, Noah and David at defense.  In about thirty seconds the line scored two goals, tying up the game.  For the last minute nobody could score so the game went to overtime.  In overtime their best player received a major penalty for head contact and was ejected from the game.  Nobody could score.  With about a minute left my team collected two penalties to end overtime.  Now it was the shootout.   They only scored twice probably because my team has an amazing goalie.  My team scored five times goals to win the shootout. All of their parents were angry because Richmond Hill lost and they felt cheated; they thought their team was the best.  Some of the parents said that they will buy them a gold medal.  Which the parents could do because they are really rich.

In the gold medal game I faced the Sailors which was another weak team.  This game I played center which is my favourite position to play.  In this game I still scored no goals.  Which means I didn’t score any goals in the tournament.  The score was seven-one for my team.  So my team came first in the tournament.  Everybody on my team got a trophy that said gold medalist champions.  Everybody on the other team got a trophy that said gold medalist finalists.  I felt good because my team won the whole tournament and I played really well.

In Search of Junco

In school I am doing a project on Juncos. Juncos are similar to sparrows. They are found all over North America. In Southern Ontario they are found all year round. We live in the country, but we are not able to find any Juncos in our backyard. Please reply with a photo of your Juncos.You can upload it and then put the link in the comments box.
