Sports

My Football season started last week.  I’m one of the four captains on my team.  The positions that I play are Running back and linebacker,  which are my two favorite positions.  My favorite thing in practice is when we do hitting drills.  On offense I usually run and get a touchdown and on defense I pretty much always tackle the runner.  My first game is next weekend.  I wonder how our team is going to do because most of them are playing their first year of football.

This year is my first time doing spring hockey.  My first game is tomorrow, I wonder how were going to do since we all haven’t practiced together yet so far in any of our practices.  On the team pretty much every body is a leftie and I’m a “rightie”.  It made me think are leftie better than “rightie”.  The spring league is a short season.  We’re going to have two tournaments and six practices.

Hockey

On  Sunday I had a hockey game against New Hamburg.  Our team beat them three one at the beginning of the season. This game our team was really lazy they didn’t skate that hard and they didn’t pass the puck.  At the start of the game the other team scored.  After that they switched the lines so I wasn’t with Owen anymore.  I work really well with him.  I passed the puck to one of my teammates and they got a break-a-way, but he missed the net.  After that the other team  scored another goal to make the game two nothing.  Once the game was almost over the team scored again.  The final score was three nothing for the other team.  Then I left to watch the super bowl.  Which was a blowout.  My team lost.

Hockey

Yesterday I had a hockey game against Saint George.  I played centre, which is my favorite position.  After a little while in the game I got switched to Owen’s (which is my friend) line so I was right wing.  We worked really well together.  I had two scoring opportunities.  One of them was because Owen passed the puck to me.  After he passed the puck to me he got hit by a Saint George player.  Someone on my team took a great shot, but it hit the cross bar.  The score ended up as one nothing for them.
