Ant man

On Sunday my family and I went to see the movie Ant Man.  It was a funny movie.  It was cool how he could shrink with the suit on.  The battles in it were funny because he was the size of an ant so anything that could happen to an ant could also happen to him.  The best battle was in the girl’s room because there were lots of toys that were ant size or a little bit bigger.  It was really funny when the villain got hit by the toy train and all it did was derail. Overall I would rate this movie a 10 out 10.

The minions

On Friday my family and I went to go see the Minions.  It was a very funny movie.  The three main minions in it: Kevin, Stewart, and Bob were all really funny.  Especially Bob, because he acted like a baby and he just did funny stuff.  The movie was about the minions finding a new master and they did.  But then stuff happens that I can’t tell you about because it would be giving away a part of the movie.  Overall the movie was pretty good, I would say that it is better then despicable Me 1 and 2.  I would give it a 4 out 5 or 8.5 out 10.

Florida

In march break I went to Florida to visit my grandparents.  I went from Tuesday the 10th to Tuesday the 17th.  When I got off the plane I went with my grandparents to a Chinese food place that we always go to.  My brother and I ate a lot of Chinese food.  I really liked the ice cream there, especially the sherbert.  The next day we played a lot of card games and board games.  My Nana and Poppa taught my brother and I the card game hearts.  We both really liked hearts.  My brother and I really like the board game Clue.  There were three mornings where my brother and I went to the beach.  We would always build villages or castles and play with them.  The third time we went was the most fun.  We always built our villages and castles close enough to the water that the waves would be able to hit it some times.  It was tons of fun.  On the fifth day we went to a botanical gardens.  There were many cool plants there.  There were about 15 different types of cacti.  One time I tried to catch a lizard but I got its tail.  Another time I caught a lizard, I was holding it but it escaped.  On the sixth day we went on a bird walk.  We saw a lot of cool things.  We saw the eyes and nostrils of a crocodile and a whole bunch of pink snail eggs.  We saw snake birds, cardinals, and whole bunch of other types of birds.  On the 7th day we went to a hockey game. It was Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Montreal Canadians.  It was a good game and Tampa won.  The score was 4 – 2.  After the first it was a 2 – 0 Tampa.  After the second It was   3 – 1 Tampa.  Then after the third it was 4 – 2.  Then the next day my brother and I left.

Basketball Party

Today I had a basketball party after school since basketball is over.  The first thing we did was a shoot around while we were waiting for everybody else to come to the gym.  Once everybody was in the gym we made up up three teams of four and played four on four.  What we did was, there were three teams one team would come down the floor and another team would be defending.  If the offensive team scored then they would keep the ball if they missed and they got the rebound they would also keep the ball and they would go down the other way.  If the offensive team missed and the defending team got the rebound then they would go down the other way to face the third team of four.  After we did that for a while we had pizza, drinks, cookies, and bite size cupcakes.  While we were eating my coaches handed out the rewards.  I got the Kingstantoni award for best refusal.  On the bottom of the page it said “best refusal to defend and then shutting down the player!.”  In a game my coach said to guard their best player and the I shook my head but then I did guard him and when I did I shut him down.  After we were done eating and giving out awards we played six on six for a little bit and then it was time to go.  So I grabbed my brother a piece of pizza, a cookie, and a drink.

Snowshoeing

Today I went snowshoeing in social studies class.  We did that to find out how natives maneuvered on them and to see how hard they were.  First we played follow the leader and I was one of the leaders that the other kids had to follow.  Then we did stretching.  After that we did some relay races in groups of two.  First we had to run twenty paces there and back.  Then we did twenty paces running sideways there and back, which was a lot harder.  Then we had to link arms with our partner and run there and back.  After that we played soccer.  People kept on falling over which made other people fall over.  Whenever I kicked the ball I felt like I was going to fall over which sometimes happened.  Once the game was done we had to go back inside and go to fifth period.  It was really fun and I would like to do it again.

Robotics

Today I had robotics club after school.  It was fun.  The program was on the board then we had to make it on a flow chart. Then we would get it checked to see if we did the program right; if we did then we would go onto the computer and use RobotC.  What I just explained took three days and we only have one day in a week for robotics club.The first challenge was to be able to control the robot with a remote.  I was the only one to finish so I was trying to solve another challenge.  I only had ten minutes to solve it but I still did it.  It was a fun time.  The second challenge was to make the arm go up and down.

Assassins Quest book trailer

I was the star for one of my brother’s projects.  He was making a book trailer for Assassin’s Quest.  It was hard and it hurt but it was also fun. A hard part was when I had to fight my brother with a fake sword.  My brother was pretending to be a pirate.  A part that hurt was when I was doing fake sword play while jumping off a couch, and hit my head on the wall.  A fun part was when I was fighting my brother with fake swords. I was the main character, my name was Fitz, who was an assassin.  In this book he was going on a quest to kill Regal.  Burrich was Fitz’s wise old master and he was also the Stable master.
